Senior Manager: Research and Business Support, Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Manager to lead the Faculty?s Research and Business Office and to manage key operations that support the realisation of more diverse income and external engagement activity.

You will report to the Director (Strategy, Planning and Resources) and support the development and delivery of MCT?s strategic and financial plans working closely with Associate Deans, Department academics and other areas of the University e.g. Business Development Unit, Research School, OU Development Office.

You will need strong line management and communication skills, a proactive service approach in supporting key internal and external stakeholders, excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and to manage changing priorities and team workloads to meet deadlines. You will need to be a strong collaborator, able to make connections across people and opportunities for Faculty benefit. Experience of assessing cost and risk, and developing effective business cases for proposals would be a distinct advantage.
