We are looking for a Head of IT Development to manage the development team within Vantage, our IT Systems Transformation programme.
You will manage a team of around 30 - 40 Developers, and will have full line management accountability including the utilisation, skills and development of staff within the teams. You must be able to demonstrate leadership and management skills and the ability to drive change to completion. You will work closely with IT Project Managers and Analysts to plan and manage complex software changes, encompassing technology uplifts, the introduction of service oriented architecture and rule-driven systems.
You will be fully conversant with best practice Agile development methodologies and must have demonstrable experience of successful delivery of large Agile projects implementing engineering practises such as Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration in a Microsoft.Net & Oracle DDBMS environment.
Working closely with other IT managers in a matrix environment, you will be a strong communicator with excellent influencing, negotiation and relationship building skills.
