Disabled Students? Allowance Assistant, Disabled Students? Allowance Office, Student Services

Based in Milton Keynes, Temporary contract until 31 July 2014

You will be responsible for answering enquiries and providing advice to students, other departments of the University and external organisations about all matters relating to a Disabled Students? Allowance (DSA). You will assess and process applications for a DSA and create and maintain student records using the in-house database. You will also produce award letters and make payments to suppliers and students within agreed timescales.

You will be educated to at least GCSE standard grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English, have good keyboard skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office suite software and database software. You must also have some awareness of the affects of different disabilities.

The DSA Office deals with sensitive information and high volumes of work. You will be adaptable, able to work accurately under pressure and have a positive attitude to change.

Closing date: 12 noon 11 July 2013. Interview date: 13 August 2013.
