The Open University?s Institute of Educational Technology seeks an enthusiastic person to join us in developing innovative ways to understand and analyse online learning.
Applications are invited from dynamic individuals who are capable of making significant contributions to our programme of work in learning and data analytics, an important strategic development building on 40 years? experience of analysing student data and building predictive models.
You will have a proven record in the design and understanding of online learning and the ability to demonstrate how you can work with data to establish a reputation in the growing field of Learning Analytics.
You will be a talented leader, and demonstrate excellent management and communication skills, having had experience in building up successful research teams. You will also be an experienced teacher, with expertise in a range of technologies for learning and teaching, and with the credibility to drive forward innovative practice across the OU?s faculties. Appointment at chair level will be dependent on your ability to demonstrate a track record of outstanding leadership skills, internationally leading research, with significant external funding and demonstrable success in winning national and international grants.
