This is a 12 month leadership development programme being delivered in conjunction with the NHS Leadership Academy and Hay Group, aimed at those across the NHS in England who are in or are aspiring to their first line management role. The module is based on the principles of safe health care, respect and compassion for service users and understanding that their needs are central to shaping the development of the team or service being led.
You should have a relevant postgraduate qualification at Masters Level, hold a current or recent managerial or professional leadership role or have relevant consultancy experience. The ability to facilitate adult learning through supported learning and make extensive use of OU online facilities is important.
