Research Associate in Educational Technology, Institute of Educational Technology

Temporary contract until 31 August 2014, Based in Milton Keynes

The Institute of Educational Technology (IET) is seeking a Research Associate for nQuire: Young Citizen Inquiry, a prestigious project funded by the Nominet Trust. The aim of the project is to engage young people in authentic scientific practice through an online open science laboratory. The post holder will manage the user-centred design and evaluation of nQuire, including organizing and conducting user experience and educational technology design workshops with young people aged 13-18.

You will have a postgraduate degree in Educational Technology or Education, or equivalent relevant work experience, with excellent skills in a broad range of qualitative research methods. In your application, you must provide evidence of leading a project or workpackage in an area of educational innovation, have experience of working with young people aged 13-18, and of being able to take responsibility for user experience design and evaluation of educational technology.
